The Information We

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by
Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh,
including but not limited to mail, telephone, email, online transactions, and
onsite visits at our museums.
Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh will only collect personal
information which you knowingly and voluntarily provide by, for example,
completing membership forms, sending emails, registering for events or other
programs, or responding to surveys. As a Member of Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, you agree,
without limitation or qualification, to be bound by this Privacy Policy.
The personal information that you supply will
allow us to appropriately respond to your requests and to provide a variety of
services at Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.
Personal information may include name, mailing address, telephone number, email
address, and other personal contact information. Personal information

specific needs. Museum personnel may, for example, use the personal

By choosing to “opt out”, the mailing information that you provide will not be
shared or used outside of Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.
Information Security
Online information provided to Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh is transmitted
using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system
that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send
it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion
of our site that is only accessible by certain qualified employees of Carnegie
