How can I buy or renew a Membership?

  • Purchase or renew a Membership right now via secure, online transaction.

  • Sign up at any museum at the admissions counter or the gift shop

What Memberships are available?

We have varying levels of Membership for your lifestyle and preference. All Membership levels receive FREE admission to Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Carnegie Science Center, and The Andy Warhol Museum. 

  • Premium Level — Benefits for TWO adults and EIGHT guests plus free admission for a Designated Caregiver
  • Family Level — Benefits for TWO adults and FOUR children plus Designated Caregiver privileges
  • Dual Level — Benefits for TWO adults or ONE adult and ONE child
  • Individual Level — Benefits for ONE adult
  • Senior (65+) Level — Benefits for ONE senior adult

How long does a Membership last?

Memberships last for one year.

May I bring guests for free with my Membership?

Premium level Members may bring up to EIGHT guests (children or adults) on each visit. Family level Members with only one Designated Adult may bring an adult guest for free, and may bring up to FOUR children on each visit. Dual level Members with only one Designated Adult may also bring a guest for free.

What other science centers and museums can I visit with my Membership?

All Membership levels receive free admission to 300+ science and technology centers worldwide. And Premium level Members also receive admission to over 20 art and natural history museums (must have additional admittance card). Go here for an updated list of institutions you can visit for free.

Can I upgrade my Membership to a higher level?

If you'd like to upgrade your Membership to a higher level, you may do so by paying the difference in price of the two Memberships. To do this, please call 412.622.3314 or visit the admissions counter at any one of our four museums.

If I join at the museum, will my ticket price for the day be applied to the cost of the Membership?

Yes, the cost of your admission on the same day may be applied towards a new Membership. A Membership representative at the admissions counter can do this for you.

What will I receive in the mail as a Member?

Within two to three weeks of registering, all Membership levels will initially receive by mail a Membership card, information about Membership benefits & policies, hours and admissions, and tax deductibility. In addition, Premium Members will receive a card for 10 half-off admissions to standard Omnimax films, as well as a card to use for admittance to reciprocating art and natural history museums. All Members may occasionally receive museum event invitations by mail, but most special events will be announced in CARNEGIE magazine and sent via email.

What if I forgot my username and/or password?

When you initially registered, you may have specified a password reminder. You can click the button labeled, "Give me a hint," to jog your memory. If you still can't remember your password, we can e-mail it to you. Just provide us with your User Name and the e-mail address that you used to register. If you don't remember the User Name that you registered with, email membership@carnegiemuseums.org and we will send it to you.

Is my Membership tax-deductible?

Yes, a portion of your Membership is tax-deductible. The value of goods and services for the Family, Dual, Individual, and Senior levels is $12 for a subscription to CARNEGIE magazine. The value of goods and services for the Premium level is $42, which includes a subscription to CARNEGIE magazine and the value of Omnimax coupons. The remainder of your Membership fee is tax-deductible.
